These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of services by Hasland Auto Centre Ltd (“we”, “our”, “us”) and apply to all customers (“you”, “your”) who book or use our services, whether online via https://haslandmot.co.uk, by telephone, or in person at our premises.
By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Our Services
Hasland Auto Centre Ltd provides MOT testing, vehicle servicing, repairs, diagnostics and related automotive services.
All services are subject to vehicle inspection and availability of parts. We reserve the right to refuse to carry out work if we believe a vehicle is unsafe, unroadworthy, or if required parts are unavailable.
Bookings
Bookings may be made online, by telephone or in person.
When you make a booking, you agree that:
The information you provide is accurate and complete
You are authorised to arrange work on the vehicle
The vehicle will be delivered to our premises at the agreed time
An online booking request does not guarantee a confirmed appointment until we have acknowledged and accepted it.
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances, including staff availability, equipment failure or emergency situations. In such cases, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
MOT Tests
MOT tests are conducted in accordance with DVSA regulations and guidelines.
The MOT fee covers the statutory inspection only. If your vehicle fails its MOT, any repairs required to achieve a pass certificate will be charged separately. We will provide an estimate before carrying out any additional work where reasonably possible.
A re-test may be subject to additional charges depending on the circumstances and DVSA rules.
Estimates and Additional Work
Where possible, we will provide an estimate before carrying out work.
Estimates are based on the information available at the time and may be subject to change if additional faults or issues are identified during inspection or repair.
If additional work is required, we will seek your authorisation before proceeding. If we are unable to contact you within a reasonable time, we may pause work until instructions are received.
Parts
We may use original equipment manufacturer (OEM), equivalent or aftermarket parts as appropriate.
All parts remain our property until paid for in full.
Where parts are specially ordered, you may be required to pay a deposit. Special order parts may not be refundable unless faulty.
Pricing and Payment
All prices are provided in pounds sterling and may include VAT where applicable.
Payment is due upon completion of the work and before the vehicle is released, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept payment methods as stated at our premises or on our website.
If payment is not made when due, we reserve the right to:
Retain possession of the vehicle until full payment is received
Charge reasonable storage fees
Charge interest on overdue amounts in accordance with applicable law
Collection of Vehicle
You agree to collect your vehicle promptly once notified that work is complete.
If a vehicle is not collected within a reasonable period after notification, we may charge storage fees.
Customer Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
Ensuring your vehicle is roadworthy and insured when delivered to us
Removing personal belongings from the vehicle before work begins
Informing us of any known faults or issues
We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle.
Liability
We will carry out services with reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Subject to the above, we shall not be liable for:
Indirect or consequential loss
Loss of profit, business or opportunity
Issues arising from pre-existing faults not related to the work carried out
Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant service.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel or rearrange a booking, please provide as much notice as possible.
We reserve the right to charge a reasonable cancellation fee where insufficient notice is given or where special order parts have already been purchased.
Warranty
We may provide a warranty on certain repairs or parts, details of which will be provided at the time of service.
Warranty does not cover:
Normal wear and tear
Damage caused by misuse, neglect or accident
Repairs or alterations carried out by third parties
Online Use
When using our website, you agree not to:
Use the site for unlawful purposes
Attempt to interfere with the website’s operation or security
Submit false or misleading information
We reserve the right to restrict access to our website if misuse is suspected.

Plenty of parking spaces available. Alternatively, we are just a short walk from the village of Hasland. With an excellent selection of shops and cafes to pass time while we complete the work on your vehicle.
